The Digital Future Forum is proud to partner with Univision News for the Mobile Journalism Round Table at the Wolfsonian-FIU in South Beach tomorrow, June 25. We are bringing together the most innovative players in journalism to discuss the opportunities and challenges of 2015.

The Univision Network is one of the top five broadcast networks in the U.S. regardless of language and the most-watched Spanish-language television network in the country reaching approximately 93 percent of U.S. Hispanic television households.

When Isaac Lee, President of News and Digital for Univision Communications Inc., and CEO of Fusion, asked the Digital Future Forum to do a Mobile Journalism Round Table in Miami, we were thrilled! Univision News is the primary news source for the 54 million Spanish speakers in the U.S. This rapidly growing demographic is increasingly influential economically, politically, and socially in the United States. Hispanic smartphone penetration is at 84%, so mobile journalism is especially relevant for Univision.

Diego Carvajal is the Director of Digital Operations for Univision and is a thought leader in digital media and journalism. He will be speaking to us about emerging business models in the 4th panel at the Mobile Journalism Round Table in Miami tomorrow. Nuria Net is Social Storytelling Editor at Fusion —a multi-platform media company that serves a young, diverse, and inclusive millennial generation across its television and digital platforms. Fusion is an ABC – Univision Joint Venture. Nuria is also a co-founder of Remezcla, and she will join us on the 3rd panel tomorrow about content flows for newsrooms in 2015.

As a pillar of Miami media and one of the most important news sources both in the U.S. and globally, the Digital Future Forum is thrilled to partner with Univision News and proud that the Mobile Journalism Round Table is sponsored by Univision News and Knight Foundation.
